Foxboro Elementary and the One Kind Act a Day Foundation Present: Free family movie night. Join us for a magical ride as we watch "The Polar Express." Where: Foxboro Elementary Gym; When: Thursday, Dec. 5th. Doors open at 5:30PM and Movie begins at 6:00pm. Wear your favorite holiday pajamas, bring some pillows and blankets, and enjoy a wonderful family event! First 250 people who donate to the food drive or make a holiday card, will receive a free donut and hot chocolate! Concessions will be available for sale (cash only please). ALL STUDENTS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENTS/GARDIAN.


Our STUDENT COUNCIL want to share A BIG THANK YOU to FOXBORO Elementary! Because of you, we collected 434 Pairs of Socks and 175 items of Underwear! These will be given to those in our community who need them.


Our students and teachers are ready to share BOTS! our Fall musical. Tickets are on sale for our ONE and ONLY performance on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 6:30pm at Woods Cross High School Auditorium. Good afternoon parents and guardians,
We hope that you will join us for our Halloween Parade tomorrow morning. We will begin our parade indoors, so students can see each other's costumes. We then will walk out the north doors and around the back of the school and enter in the Winter Pod (SE Doors). (Please see the link to a map below that will show you our parade route. ) We will only making one full walk around the back of the school, so please be sure you are in place by 9:15 AM.
Parents and visitors do not have to check into the office to watch the parade. Once you arrive at school, please head to the north and/or east side of the school to find your spot.
If you are volunteering for a classroom party or activity, please enter in the front doors. You will not be able to access any other outside doors and will be asked to go around if you do not have a sticker or have not checked in at the front office.
One final reminder that please ensure that your student's costume is school/age appropriate, does not contain a weapon/mask, and is culturally sensitive.
We are so excited to celebrate with everyone tomorrow!

For the next month the Foxboro HOPE Squad and Student Council will be celebrating SOCKTOBER! We will be collecting NEW Socks and Undies for Foxboro Community members who need them. HALLOWEEN FOXBORO ELEMENTARY
COSTUME AND VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES
Students are invited to join in our Halloween celebration on Thursday, October 31.
We will start the day at 9:15 a.m. with our Halloween Costume Parade, which will be held outside. Parents are welcome to come and enjoy the parade.
*If you are volunteering in our classrooms, you must have a background check. Feel free to call our office if you are unsure if you are in our database or to get information on how to receive one.
Halloween Costume Guidelines
Parents: please use these guidelines when planning costumes with your children. These guidelines are meant to help our Halloween celebration be respectful, responsible, safe, kind, and understanding for all.
**Be respectful: Avoid stereotypes. Be racially sensitive and culturally appropriate. Students may not dress up as an ethnic or cultural group (i.e., a Mexican, a Geisha, a Native American, etc.). Culture is not a costume. Skin color must not be altered in any way.
**Be responsible: Recognize that students in a wide age range will see the costumes. Costumes should be family friendly. Costumes may not be gory or threatening.
**Be safe: No weapons, real or pretend are allowed (i.e. light sabers, swords, hooks, Wolverine claws). Masks may not be worn. Crowns or hats may be worn.
**Be kind: Costumes should be fun and exciting, not political, or offensive.
**Be Understanding: Students may dress up as fictional characters if they follow the above guidelines.

Martin Luther King JR. Speech Contest
Davis School District's Office of Equal Opportunity invites all K-12 students to enter the 2024 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Speech contest. There are five categories (grade level bands) for the speech contest; K-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, 7th-9th, & 10th-12th.
We will hold our school wide contest on Wednesday, October 16th afterschool at 1:45 PM. Please note that this is a Wednesday, and all elementary schools will follow the early out schedule that day. Foxboro Elementary will choose one student from each category (K-2, 3-4, 5-6) to advance to district judging.
There are cash prizes available for District Winners! This is a wonderful opportunity to allow our students to reflect on the legacy of Dr. King. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Emily Furse (3rd Grade Teacher) at efurse@dsdmail.net.


Our PTA parents awarded Miss King and Ms. Rees October Teacher of the Month. Each month parents nominate teachers or staff members to be awarded Teacher of the Month by our PTA. Teachers are given an award certificate, the text from the nominating parent, and a gift from their favorite things list. Congratulations to these outstanding teachers!! A big shout out to our Foxboro Custodians for National Custodian Day! Thank you for keeping everything so clean and looking great so we can learn each day!!


This year we are teaming up with Championship Martial Arts to provide four after school beginning level classes. These $25 courses are designed for all k-6 students. Classes will be held 3:30-4:00 on October 28th, 30th, and November 4th and 6th. A flyer will be sent home with students this week. Each class offers a dynamic mix of exciting martial arts skills while also focusing on essential life skills like focus, confidence and goal setting. The program wraps up with a special graduation ceremony that celebrates your child's achievements. 100% of the proceeds will directly benefit all students at Foxboro. Payments can be made Oct. 13th - 25th to Foxboro Elementary on your MyDSD Account or in the office with cash or check only. We will have an assembly on Tuesday, October 22nd from 2:45-3:15. The Martial Arts Teachers will also be seen outside at lunch recess that week to help students learn more.


Thursday October 10, 2024 is our school picture day! You can return the paper order form (with payment) that day, or order online. If you want to place an order online, please visit BELLPHOTO.COM and use prepay code foxboro24. These pictures are used for the yearbook, so all students will get their picture taken this day! We can't wait to see all the students all in their best dress and bright smiles!


Remember Parent Teacher Conferences are Wednesday, October 2nd and Thursday, October 3rd. School will be on a short day schedule and will be excused at 1:30.
